As someone who was often helping and listening to people share their stories of their deepest concerns and their celebrations, I was drawn to working as a helper. Having the opportunity to meet individuals where they are at as a therapist, hearing the good and not so good experiences and being a witness to the journey is a role I value to uphold.

I work with clients experiencing:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Relationship challenges
  • Life Transitions
  • Perinatal mental health challenges
  • Challenges in parenting
  • Addictions
  • Grief/ Loss

 Mental health philosophy?

I’m an honored witness to the individual healing journey, offering support in reaching goals and overall wellness, however that may look for the individual. I appreciate when clients come to counselling with their own awareness of what is going on, the good and not so good, and throughout the process make new discoveries about themselves and connections that help promote change. I work with clients to collaboratively develop unique and individualized therapeutic plans. I utilize an evidence-based, eclectic approach to therapy drawing from modalities such as person-centred, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, cognitive behaviour, and solutions focused approaches.

Working With Me:

  1. I believe in a collaborative relationship open to feedback and adjustments throughout the therapeutic process.
  2. Being mindful of client’s investment in attending therapy, I appreciate my client’s time and energy in doing the work at an individual pace.
  3. Change is a process. We celebrate and learn from successes and challenges.

Outside the office:

I enjoy wandering and seeking new adventures. Whether going out for a picnic at the park, attending community events with the family or a hike on a forest trail, its guaranteed I’m outside when the sun is shining. I love to garden and am in the process of starting my own vegetable patch. Hopefully the bunnies save us some carrots this season.
