Accepting New Clients!
My journey to becoming a therapist began in high school when I found myself fascinated by the complexity of human interactions and the psychological aspects that drive them. The idea of being able to support and guide others through their challenges brings me great joy. I believe that everyone has the capacity to heal and grow given the right conditions, and I work with my clients to identify and build on their strengths and develop new coping strategies for dealing with difficult situations.
I have had the privilege of working with a diverse group of individuals, each with their own unique struggles. I create a safe and supportive environment for my clients to feel heard, valued, empowered, and encouraged to set goals, learn, and practice skills to move forward.
I adopt a client-centred, trauma-informed, and psychoeducational approach in therapy. By integrating a variety of evidence-based treatment models, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) with empathy and insight, I can help my clients actively participate in therapy and support them every step of the way. I am dedicated to ongoing professional development to stay up to date with the latest research and techniques in the field.

Working with Me:
I work with individuals from diverse racial, cultural, and spiritual backgrounds and I am familiar with the possible challenges and points of struggle for immigrants with English as a second language. In addition to English, I also provide therapy in Farsi/Persian, which has been helpful for Persian/Afghan newcomers who find it difficult to express their thoughts and feelings in English.
Outside of the Office:
Outside of the office, I prioritize my own mental health and well-being by spending time with my family and friends, watching movies in different genres, reading novels and poems in Farsi, and trying to travel back to my home country once a year.
